Earrings are an accessory that has been worn by both men and women throughout the ages. They are a simple and comfortable ornament which is why they have always been so popular. They accentuate the face, neck, and shoulders and can be worn daily.
However, not all types of earrings are for everyone. How do you choose a model that will go with your face, then?
If you have a round face, long, thin earrings will look best on you because they will add to the optical elongation of your face. You are not doing yourself a favor by wearing either small or bulky earrings.
Women with oval face shapes have no problems when picking earrings. The only condition they should keep in mind is that the size of the earrings should correspond to the size of their face.
A more angular face requires rounder models with more curvy elements. Ring, teardrop, or circle-shaped earrings are best for this type of face.
Experts recommend that when selecting earrings take into consideration the following three factors: length, color, and shape. You have to coordinate the length of the earring with the shape of the neckline of your outfit or the presence or lack of straps. Strapless dresses, for example, require longer earrings that would emphasize the shoulders and neck. If your dress is colorful do not wear brightly colored earrings. The opposite holds too – if you are wearing a simple, monochromatic outfit, a pair of dainty, vibrant earrings can be a beautiful accent.
